Terms of Service
Welcome to Family Time: Call Reminder ("Family Time," "we," "us," or "our"). Family Time is a relationship reminder application (Expo mobile app for Android and iOS) designed to help users stay connected with family members, friends, and other important people in their lives.
By downloading, accessing, or using Family Time, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. Description of service
Family Time provides tools that allow users to create relationship reminders, import or manually add contacts, set communication reminders, record notes and memories, and receive notifications about birthdays and check ins.
Optional features may include Present Plus (for example preferred hello times, more people, and Backup & Restore) and Present Circle (create a Circle and invite others). Circle invites may use a cloud invite registry so a code or link can be looked up. Joining creates local membership on the joining device. Family Time does not currently offer full live sync of Circle members, hellos, or presence across every device.
Family Time is a personal organization and reminder tool. It does not guarantee that users maintain relationships, replace personal communication, act as a messaging service, or provide medical, legal, or professional advice.
2. User responsibilities
- Providing accurate information
- Maintaining access to your device
- Managing notification settings
- Ensuring you have permission to store information about other individuals
- Keeping your sign in credentials secure if you use optional cloud features
You should only add information about other people that you have a legitimate reason to store.
3. Contacts and personal information
Family Time may request access to your device contacts if you choose to import contacts. Contact information is used only to help you create and manage reminders.
Family Time does not sell your contacts, advertise to your contacts, or contact people on your behalf without your action.
4. User data
You may create information including names, relationships, phone numbers, birthdays, notes, memories, and reminder preferences. You remain responsible for the information you enter into the app.
By default, data stays on your device. If you use Backup & Restore or Circle invites, limited information may be stored with our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Premium features
Family Time may offer paid features, including Present Plus and (when available in the stores) Present Circle, through subscriptions or other in app purchases.
Pricing, features, and availability may change. Purchases are processed through the applicable app store and may be verified through RevenueCat. Subscription terms, renewals, and cancellations are governed by that store’s policies in addition to these Terms.
Preview or soft unlock modes (for example when a product is not yet listed) are not purchases and do not create a paid subscription.
6. Notifications
Family Time provides reminders based on user settings. Notifications may be delayed or fail due to device settings. We are not responsible for missed reminders.
7. Disclaimer
Family Time is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous availability, error free operation, specific relationship outcomes, or uninterrupted cloud features. Using the app does not guarantee that relationships will improve.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Family Time shall not be liable for loss of data, missed reminders, emotional distress, device issues, cloud outages, or indirect damages. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
9. Account termination
You may stop using Family Time at any time by uninstalling the app (which removes local app data on that device). If you used optional cloud features, request deletion of related account or backup data as described on our data deletion page, or by contacting us. We may restrict access if users misuse the service or violate these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Family Time after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
